New Downton Abbey. New Viking. New Year.

Last night, the new season of Downton Abbey premiered in the US on PBS. Did you watch? Did you see the gorgeous adverts for Viking River Cruises, which proudly sponsors Downton Abbey? Their river cruise ship will take you through the heart of Europe. But this year Viking will launch their ocean liner, which will cruise the surrounding coastlines of Europe! Along with their new ocean liner, they’ll also christen 10 new Longships (their river cruising vessels) and two ships designed to cruise the Elbe River (which means a new Elbe itinerary). While this won’t be a record-breaking year for christenings (see here), it will bring their total to 64 river cruising ships – a fantastically large fleet!
