DAILY ITINERARY

Day 1: Hotel Stay in Louisville, KY

A pre-cruise deluxe hotel stay is always included before boarding the American Queen. In addition to spending more time in Louisville, it also insures you aren’t late to the boat!

Day 2: Embark in Louisville, KY

The morning is yours to find a great bite in Louisville or explore downtown before boarding the boat.

Day 3: River Cruising

It’s always great to have a day just to be onboard this magnificent boat! Sit in a rocking chair on the Front Porch of America while you watch the shoreline go by. Meet Chairman John Waggoner and his wife, Claudette. Take a refreshing dip in the pool. Have a chat with the Riverlorian about the region you’re cruising through.

Day 4: Huntington, WV

Tour local attractions like the Ritter Park Rose Garden or excite your inner train-obsessed child with a visit to the Outdoor Railroad Museum!

Day 5: Maysville, KY

Enjoy the quaint town of Maysville. Visit any of its many local art galleries, museums, or award-winning theaters.

Day 6: Augusta, KY

Augusta is home to the Rosemary Clooney House Museum! I bet you can hear her singing now in your head. If you’d rather take in the tastes of the region, perhaps you’d like to visit Baker Bird Winery for a sip of local wine!

Day 7: Cincinnati, OH

Cincinnati – aside from being home to the Reds and the Bengals – has well-known landmarks like the Museum Center at Union Terminal and the Bicentennial Commons. You could also choose to visit the Underground Railroad Freedom Center. Or walk through downtown and find your own adventure!

Day 8: Madison, IN

You’ll be fascinated by the antique machinery at the Schroeder Saddletree Factory! Unless you’re feeling tired from the exciting week you’ve had onboard, in which case you could relax with a visit to Thomas Family Winery for a sip of their wine.

Day 9: Disembark in Louisville, KY
