DAILY ITINERARY

Day 1: Boutique Hotel Stay in Louisville, KY

Day 2: Embark in Louisville, KY

The city will be electric with preparations for the upcoming race. Enjoy exploring the city on your own, or ask about booking a pre-cruise Premium Shore Excursion that will include transfers to the ship in the afternoon.

Day 3: Madison, IN

Touring the river town of Madison, you’ll find unique cultural treasures at each stop, including the Schroeder Saddletree Factory and Thomas Family Winery.

Day 4: Louisville, KY

We’re back in town for the GREAT STEAMBOAT RACE! The American Duchess will be participating, so be prepared to cheer on your boat, Captain and crew.

Day 5: Brandenburg, KY

Brandenburg is a quiet river community, with golf, fishing and other outdoor activities to enjoy. Or take a tour of nearby Fort Knox and the General George Patton Museum of Leadership.

Day 6: Owensboro, KY

Owensboro is an amazing gem on the Ohio River. Home to the Western Kentucky Botanical Garden and the International Bluegrass Music Museum, Owensboro is also known for its signature dishes: BBQ mutton and burgoo.

Day 7: Louisville, KY

Today is Derby Day! Iconic Louisville attractions will be busy and its a fantastic time to enjoy the city. Or talk to us about booking the optional Kentucky Derby ticket package (tickets are not included in cruise fare).

Day 8: River Cruising

After all the festivities of the week, take today to relax! Check out the onboard amenities you haven’t had time for so far, or find a quiet place to curl up with a great view and a good book.
