American Queen paddlewheel docked and ready to cruise the Mississippi River.

Cruise the Ohio River on the Chairman’s Cruise. Are you passionate about small ship cruising, river cruising, steamboats or paddlewheels? The Chairman of the American Queen, John Waggoner and his wife, Claudette, will be hosting this 9-day cruise, roundtrip from their hometown of Louisville! Let them guide you through the region, introducing you to beautiful small towns like Maysville, Augusta and Madison, all while cruising aboard the beautiful and historical American Queen! Amazingly, you’ll visit 4 states on this cruise – Kentucky, West Virginia, Ohio and Indiana. Need to cross them off your ‘Travel To-Do List’? Do it in style aboard the only authentic steam-powered overnight paddlewheel on the river!

Onboard, you can expect fun and unique activities, like a live cooking demonstration – what wondrous Southern specialty will they prepare? You’ll enjoy listening to the Riverlorian convey the heritage of the region through fables and facts – can you tell the difference? In Augusta, you can tour the Rosemary Clooney House Museum. Just thinking about it, I can already hear her singing ‘White Christmas’! Cincinnati is home to the Underground Railroad Freedom Center, a window to a time of hope and heartache in our nation. Sample handcrafted win at the Thomas Family Winery in Madison, Indiana.
