Day 1: Your adventure begins in vibrant New Orleans. Tonight a chef from the world renowned New Orleans School of Cooking gives an onboard demonstration, followed by local musical enter­tainment.

Day 2: Admire the stunning views of bustling Canal Street and the brilliant colors of the Historic French Quarter as the ship cruises along the mighty Mississippi River.

Day 3: In downtown Mobile, AL, an optional tour introduces you to the Battleship Memorial Park and the USS Alabama, or choose a tour through Bellingrath Gardens and its spectacular exhibit of local and exotic flora.

Day 4: Cruise the Tombigbee River to Demopolis, AL. An optional guided tour includes the Demopolis Civic Center, beautiful Trinity Episcopal Church and the Canebrake Craft Corner.

Day 5: Transit the lower end of the Tenn-Tom Wa­terway where breathtaking white limestone cliffs rise high above the river bank. Visit the Tom Bevill Visitor Center, a Greek Revival antebellum home. Tonight, in Columbus, enjoy musical entertain­ment onboard.

Day 6: This morning in Columbus enjoy an optional sightseeing tour to a plantation home. In the afternoon, cruise through the John Rankin Lock and listen for the sound of the “Tweety Bird,” a T-37 Jet Trainer, as you near West Point, MS.

Day 7: Travel through the Jamie Whitten Lock toward lovely and historic Pickwick, TN. A Civil War historian is your guide on an optional tour of Shiloh Military Park, where soldiers waged battle in 1862. Relax to the tones of a local bluegrass band this evening.

Day 8: Cruise from the lakeside town of Pickwick to picturesque Waverly, TN. An onboard presentation introduces you to this charming region. Local musical entertainment concludes the evening.

Day 9: Just outside Kuttawa, KY, visit the Old Eddyville Historic District. On an optional tour, discover the local lore at the Rose Hill Museum, and behold the “Castle on the Cumberland,” a modern-day prison that resembles a medieval castle. Later, browse for souvenirs at the sprawling Red Door Antique Mall. Tonight enjoy an onboard lecture on this region’s rich history.

Day 10: This morning cruise to nearby Clarks­ville, TN. An optional guided city tour includes a stop at a local tobacco farm. Learn about Clarksville type 22 tobacco and the importance it once had on the local economy, observe the production process, and chat with the farmer. The tour continues this afternoon at Beachaven Winery, where you can sample the local vintages and stroll through the expansive vineyards.

Day 11: Welcome to “Music City USA!” An optional tour of Nashville includes the homes of famous country music stars; the Country Music Hall of Fame; The Hermitage, President Andrew Jackson’s historic mansion home. On select cruise departures, take in an optional show at the legendary Grand Ole Opry. An onboard musical performance brings a festive spirit this evening.

Day 12: Disembark today in Nashville.
