Yosemite to Denali Features

  • Take a Bay Cruise that circles the island of Alcatraz and cruises directly under the Golden Gate Bridge.
  • Take a complete tour of Yosemite National Park, including visiting Half Dome, Bridalveil Falls, and El Capitan.
  • Take the ‘Great Western Limited’ train overnight from California to Seattle.
  • Take a 4-night cruise aboard the ms Nieuw Amsterdam from Vancouver, BC thru Alaska’s Inside Passage to Skagway.
  • Cruise Tracy Arm, a must for every Alaska cruise!
  • A Klondike National Park Ranger will meet you in Skagway, where we’ll board the gold rush railcars into Canada’s Yukon Territory.

Day 1: San Francisco, CA

Arrive in San Francisco and transfer to the Sheraton Hotel at Fisherman’s Wharf.

Day 2: San Francisco, CA

Begin your day with a complete city tour, followed by a Bay Cruise that will circle Alcatraz and cruise right under the Golden Gate Bridge! The afternoon schedule is open to you before we gather for our Welcome Dinner at Fisherman’s Wharf.

Day 3: Yosemite National Park

The morning is open for you to explore the city or maybe sleep in before you board the San Joaquin train for Yosemite National Park!

Day 4: Yosemite | ‘Great Western Limited’

After breakfast you’ll take a complete tour of Yosemite! Have your camera ready to view the stunning Half Dome, Tunnel View, El Capitan and Bridalveil Falls. We’ll drive back to the Bay area for a Bon Voyage dinner before we board the ‘Great Western Limited’, traveling overnight over the Union Pacific Railroad.

Day 5: Seattle, WA

Enjoy your views of the Cascade Mountains today. You’ll pass through Portland this afternoon and arrive in Seattle this evening, where you’ll transfer to the Mayflower Park Hotel for your 2-night stay.

Day 6: Seattle, WA

The city is yours to explore! Your hotel is in the heart of downtown, near Pikes Market, the monorail and fantastic local restaurants.

Day 7: Embark in Vancouver, BC

You’ll enjoy the scenic drive north to Canada! In Vancouver, you’ll enjoy lunch before boarding the ms Nieuw Amsterdam.

Day 8: Cruising the Inside Passage

Relax and enjoy the amenities onboard the ocean liner as you cruise North.

Day 9: Tracy Arm & Juneau, AK

No Alaska cruise would be complete without viewing Tracy Arm! Then you’ll visit Alaska’s capital where you can choose from the ship’s shore excursions or explore the city on your own.

Day 10: Disembark in Skagway, AK

You’ll disembark in Skagway where you’ll be met by a Klondike National Park ranger and Tour Director. In the path of the history Klondike Trail, you’ll board gold rush railcars thru White Pass and continue into Canada’s Yukon Territory, staying overnight in Whitehorse.

Day 11: Dawson City, Yukon Territory

Continuing on your Klondike trail, head to Dawson City, with a lunch stop in Minto. Dawson City was a town built for prospectors, at the confluence of the Klondike and Yukon Rivers. Dawson City is now a National Historic Site, committed to preserving its rich history.

Day 12: Fairbanks, AK

Take a short flight to Fairbanks.

Day 13: Denali, AK

You’re headed to Denali for a 2-night stay! Keep your eyes open for the amazing wildlife as you drive through the park, including Dall sheep and grizzly bears!

Day 14: Tundra Wilderness Tour

Keep your camera at hand as you head deeper into Denali today for your Tundra Wilderness Tour! This is the best way to see wildlife, and keep a lookout for Mt. McKinley as well.

Day 15: McKinley Explorer | Anchorage, AK

The McKinley Explorer train will take you to Anchorage this afternoon, with overnight accommodations at the Westmark Hotel.

Day 16: Transfer to Airport
