Rockland is all about Lobster, Lighthouses and History
We love this quaint port town. Whatever the weather – there is something to do. Visit the Farnsworth Art Museum, the Maine Lighthouse Museum (we did mention Maine is famous for lighthouse, right??), the Transportation Museum, and the Coastal Children’s Museum. Visit the great shops and restaurants in town. From June-August enjoy ‘First Fridays’, from 5-8pm, the city is open for art walks. We mentioned lighthouses. Maine has 68 lighthouses, 14 of them or in Knox County. You have to visit lighthouses if you are visiting Maine!
