2Embark in Ilwaco, WA
At 10:00 am you will be picked up at your hotel and transported to the boat in Ilwaco, WA. Arrive and settle into your cabin before gathering for lunch. In the afternoon, tour the Lewis & Clark Observatory at Cape Disappointment. After dinner, walk through Long Beach. Empty your coin purse on the turn-of-the-century machines at Marsh’s Free Museum that play music, give a show, and entertain all ages. Walk along the boardwalk, and don’t forget your camera! You’ll either want to take a silly picture of yourself in the giant frying pan, or a gorgeous picture of yourself on the beach at sunset. Or both.
3Astoria & Cannon Beach, OR
After breakfast, head south along the Oregon coast. In Astoria, you’ll visit the Maritime Museum. Return for lunch on boat, whenever you decide its time (Isn’t cruising on a yacht the best?). After lunch, climb the Astoria Column and then take an exclusive tour at the Shallon Winery, who specialize in chocolate, orange, and cranberry wines. Continue south to Seaside to visit the Buddha Kat Winery. Then to Cannon Beach to visit The Wine Shack and walk out to the magnificent Haystack Rock. If there’s time and you decide you want to, your last excursion of the day will be to visit Nehalem Bay Winery.
4Portland, OR
After breakfast, you’ll cruise up river to Portland, Oregon. Arrive downtown Portland and dock at Waterfront Park marina on the Willamette River. After dinner, walk downtown to visit Pioneer Square (‘Portland’s Living Room’) and water front park area. Return to the ship at your leisure.
5Willamette Valley Wine Region
Time to tour the Willamette Valley wine and vineyard region. The Northern Dream has chosen the “Sip 47″ winery road tour to visit various vineyards and Wineries along Hwy 47. Some of the various Wineries on this route are: A Blooming Hill Vineyard, David Hill Winery & Vineyard, ADEA Wine, Patton Valley Vineyard, Tualatin Estate Stag, Hollow Vin€yard, Apolloni Vineyards.
6Portland, OR
Time to head east, back on the Columbia River. Transit through Bonneville Dam Lock, and we’ll arrive at Hood River dock at or around 6:00pm, just in time for dinner. Passengers free to walk downtown Hood River. Guests return at their own pace.
7Fruit Loop
You’ll take a tour of the Western Antique Aeroplane & Automobile Museum before riding the “Fruit Loop”! This scenic route is famous for it’s views, fruit stands, orchards and vineyards. The amount of places visited depend on the pace of the guests, time at each tasting and the consensus of the group.
8Portland, OR
Time to disembark. On our way back to Portland, you’ll take the Bonneville Dam Tour, as well as visit the famous Multnomah Falls.
