    Welcome aboard the American Queen!

    3 Clarksville, TN
Clarksville is a growing river town, but its respect for history and Southern charm remain very much intact. One of the most photographed buildings in the region is the 1898 Customs House Museum and Cultural Center, originally built as a Post Office for the growing tobacco industry. The floor is Knoxville marble, and the walls feature natural white oak trim. There are constant rotation of exhibits, but I’m sure some people could spend the whole day watching the collection of model trains ride about the tracks! Also, the Smith-Trahern Mansion is open for exploration. Built in 1858, it was designed by Adolphus Heiman for Christopher Smith (a wealthy tobacconist).

    4Dover, TN
Visit Fort Donelson to learn about this areas involvement in the Civil War while overlooking the picturesque river.

    5Paducah, KY
Paducah sits at the crossroads of the Mississippi, Ohio, Cumberland and Tennessee Rivers. Popular stops in Paducah include the National Quilt Museum, Lloyd Tilghman House and Civil War Museum, and the Paducah Railroad Museum!

Pre-Cruise Hotel

The first night of the vacation always includes a hotel night. This ensures that you are in the right city to board your boat on time. You’ll be rested and ready to go! Your breakfast and transfers to the boat are also included.

Hop-On/Hop-Off Bus

You’ll spot the buses right away – they look just like the ship! Two buses travel alongside the boat from port to port. At every port, you’ll be able to board these buses for the Hop-On Hop-Off shore excursions. The bus will have a set route in the town, and you can ride until you see someplace you want to go. Then catch the bus the next time it comes thru.
