    2Embark in Memphis, TN
    Welcome aboard the American Duchess! Check in between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM, settle in and the ship will depart at 5:00 PM.

    Spend a relaxing day on board the American Duchess, enjoying the ship's many amenities.

    4Hickman, KY
    It's an exciting day because you'll visit the Discovery Park of America, a 100,000 square foot interactive museum. Exhibits include an aquarium, a military gallery with a PT-17 Stearman airplane, dinosaurs and fossils, a showcase of historic American cars, and much more!

    5Paducah, KY
    Paducah is referred to as the Four Rivers Area because it sits near the Ohio, Cumberland, Tennessee, and Mississippi Rivers. Stop by the Moonshine Company for moonshine tastings, and brush up on local history at the River Discovery Center as well as the National Quilt Museum.

    6Owensboro, KY
    A variety of activities on the horizon today. Tour the O.Z. Tyler Distillery and see the process of traditional whiskey barrel aging. Taste their whiskey and bourbon and maybe pick up a bottle in their gift shop. Walk through the Western Kentucky Botanical Garden which houses six different themed gardens. Another fabulous option is the International Bluegrass Music Museum for a historic and musical afternoon.

    7Louisville, KY
    We stop in Kentucky's largest city today! Don't miss the famous 32 minute Kentucky Show, offering 3 viewings early in the day. Plenty of options for excursions in Louisville, including the Frazier History Museum, Mark Payton Glass Center, the Kentucky Peerless Distilling Company, and the Seelbach Hotel.

    8Madison, IN
    Sitting within Madison's Historic District is the Lanier Mansion State Historic Site, a Greek Revival style house from 1844 that is open for you to tour. Other stops along the way include the Broadway Fountain, the Schroeder Saddletree Factory, the History Center and Railroad Museum, as well as the Jeremiah Sullivan House.

    9Cincinnati, OH
    Be sure you take a walk along the riverfront to the National Steamboat Monument, and exact replica of the American Queen’s red paddlewheel. Other highlights of this city include the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, the Krohn Conservatory, the Eden Park Observatory Point, and the Cincinnati Art Museum.

    10Augusta, KY
    Are you ready to visit the Rosemary Clooney House Museum? He retreat home that's located on Riverside Drive, is full of artifacts from her career and personal life on display to the public. From there, head to the old Bracken County Jail that was built in 1811. Sitting within Appleman Park, the jail housed prisoners into the 1970's and its history is tied to the Underground Railroad.

    11Maysville, KY
    Visit the bustling downtown district with theaters, art galleries, museums and more. But don’t forget to spend some time on the riverfront, because Maysville’s view of the Ohio River is breathtaking!

    13Point Pleasant, WV
    The included tour of Point Pleasant will begin in the Riverfront Park where floodwall murals depict local history. Then you’ll head off to Tu-Endie-Wei State Park, commemorating the 1774 Battle of Point Pleasant and home to the 1796 Mansion House. Fort Randolph was once a refuge for settlers against attacks from Native Americans, and was once the farthest most out-post of the colonies.

    14Marietta, OH
    Marietta is home to the Great Mound, a sacred earthwork built between 800 BCE and 700 CE by indigenous people. Then to The Castle, the best example of Gothic Revival style with its octagonal tower and stone-capped spires! And something for the child inside all of us: the Children’s Toy and Doll Museum & Whipple’s Whimsical Toys and Marietta’s Cola Museum and Fountain Shop!

Dining is an uniquely American experience aboard the ship. Local ingredients used to create regional delicasies will charm your tastebuds. In addition to the main dining room, there are also an alternative venue for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as 24-hour room service for your convenience.

Pre-Cruise Hotel

The first night of the vacation always includes a hotel night. This ensures that you are in the right city to board your boat on time. You’ll be rested and ready to go! Your breakfast and transfers to the boat are also included.

Hop-On/Hop-Off Bus

You’ll spot the buses right away – they look just like the ship! Two buses travel alongside the boat from port to port. At every port, you’ll be able to board these buses for the Hop-On Hop-Off shore excursions. The bus will have a set route in the town, and you can ride until you see someplace you want to go. Then catch the bus the next time it comes thru.
