1Sunday: Fleurey-sur-Ouche
A crew member will meet your party in Paris and chauffeur you to the barge in Fleury-sur-Ouche. You’ll meet the rest of the crew onboard for a traditional champagne reception before unpacking and enjoying your first gourmet dinner onboard!
2Monday: Fleurey-sur-Ouche to Gissey-sur-Ouche
You’ll cruise through the river valley this morning. After lunch, take to the vineyards of the Cote de Nuits for a cycling tour! Enjoy a wine tasting and tour at Clos de Vougeot before returning to the barge for dinner.
3Tuesday: Gissey-sur-Ouche to Pont d'Ouche
After breakfast visit Dijon for a walking tour of the Cathedral and the Les Halles Market, designed by Gustave Eiffel (yes, that Eiffel). For the afternoon cruising to La Bussiere-sur-Ouche, you can ride the barge, walk the towpath, or take a bike through the countryside!
4Wednesday: Pont d'Ouche
You’ll spend the day in Beaune, the wine capital of Cote d’Or. Beneath the cobblestoned streets are miles of wine cellars, home to millions of bottles of wine! The town thrives on the wine business: making it, tasting it, selling it and drinking it! You’ll have a wine tasting before your tour of the Hotel Dieu, a preserved medieval hospital. Lunch will be at a local bistro before the afternoon mustard tasting and some free time to explore the town.
5Thursday: Pont d'Ouche to Vandenesse en Auxois
The Chateauneuf-en-Auxois is a castle perched over the canal. Tour the chateau and village, perhaps finding treasures in local shops.
6Friday: Vanenesse en Auxois to Escommes
The morning will be cruising through French countryside. After lunch, head to the vineyards of the Chateau de Chassagne Montrachet for a private wine tasting. Enjoy your final dinner aboard the barge, reminiscing about the wonders you’ve seen and experienced this week.
7Saturday: Return to Paris
You’ll depart the barge this morning and be chauffeured to Charles de Gaulle Airport, or other central location in Paris.
