I am a “frequent sailor” and have used USA River Cruises as my travel agency since 2008. They have never ceased to amaze me. This was a three and a half week European adventure. I started in Italy. Traveled by train from Milan to Florence, to Rome and to the Amalfi coast. My wish list became my itinerary. I saw Tuscany, Pisa, Siena and Chianti. Had a wonderful lunch at a winery. Then I had a lesson in making pizza (it was delicious!). Toured the Colosseum and Senate in Rome. Took a fun small group boat tour of the Amalfi coast which included jumping into the Mediterranean for a swim. All the hotels and trains and many of the transfers were included. Then I flew to Budapest to meet with friends for a Danube cruise on the Emerald Sun. We enjoyed the tours of Budapest, Vienna, Bratislava, Germany and the Czech Republic. I took advantage of their gentle tour offerings. They had many set up already and added more when they saw the interest in them. The staff was amazing and the ship beautiful. (USA River Cruises also took care of our group’s travels.) I went on to visit family in Germany and then flew home. I enjoyed all of the beautiful scenery along the way, the amazing food, the tours and accommodations. But the best part was making new friends and reconnecting with old friends.
