I am a long time fan of USA River Cruises and have booked many amazing adventures. I just went on my first solo cruise. Cindy notified me of a very special price for a cruise from Halifax to the Panama Canal that she knew I would enjoy.
I had a beautiful balcony room with a lots of room on the German expedition ship Hanseatic Inspiration. I was the only American on board and everyone made me feel welcome. The crew and passengers spoke English so I didn’t need too much of my high school German.
The decor of the small ship is serenely elegant. The crew were professional and friendly. The food was gourmet, absolutely delicious. The entertainment was similar to river boats. Piano players and a wonderful singing, guitar playing couple. There were also talks about current events and the history and culture of the areas we visited with excellent speakers.
I started in Halifax, sailed to NYC where the ship spent two days, on to Nassau and the through then Panama Canal. Several excursions were offered, but on this trip I did my own thing…wine luncheon, a Broadway show and just enjoying the scenery. There were several at sea days which made it a relaxing trip.
The crew had a pumpkin decorating contest, there were ship tours, a crew choir sang for the captains farewell. We also stopped in the middle of the ocean and were able to have a swim off the ship’s back platform. Thank you Cindy for helping me with my latest adventure. I can always count on you to know what I will enjoy. You and then other agents care about your clients and your service is the best.
