Louisville, KY is hosting the Centennial Festival of Riverboats in October 2014. Nine ships will gather on the Ohio River to honor the 100th birthday of the Belle of Louisville! The Belle was originally a ferry, but she has the distinction of being the most widely traveled river steamboat in the country.

he other boats who are attending to offer its birthday wishes to the Belle are: Spirit of Jefferson, Belle of Cincinnati, Spirit of Peoria, River Queen, General Jackson, Anson Northrup, Colonel, and the American Queen.
