Mt. Hood

Mt. Hood

“The whole trip was just really terrific.  I was a bit nervous about the trip because my husband has mobility issues but the airline was very helpful.  The Davenport Hotel in Spokane was spectacular.  There are two parts.  We stayed in the Tower across the street which is brand new.  But the other building is very historic and beautiful!

The cruise was very unique.  I liked the fact that everything was included.  Wine with dinner, cocktail hour everyday at 4:30.  There was no nickel and diming like other cruise lines. The bridge was always open and welcome for guests except during difficult navigation, otherwise, we could go in and felt very welcome.  The crew was fabulous, very nice, young people. The historian, Todd, is a walking encyclopedia.  He talked about the history, industry, natives, geography, topography, etc.  It was all very interesting, very unique.

Locks and Dams

Locks and Dams

My favorite was the Mt. St. Helens visitor center.  There was a ranger there who was a very enthusiastic speaker.  And the Bonneville Dam was very interesting.  I also enjoyed the Woolen Mills and seeing where the blankets were made.  There was always a guide to meet us.  Multnomah Falls was beautiful.  Passing through the locks was amazing.

The food was out of this world.  The portions were just right and beautifully presented and DELICIOUS!

All in all it was such a comfortable cruise.  Everyone was so laid back, I really felt at home.

I’m so glad I was able to go on this trip and appreciate the crew’s assistance with my husband and for you arranging everything for us.”
