Whales are such a strong factor for people who choose to cruise Alaska, and now they’re getting more protection from the Federal Government. Because 
there are SO MANY humpback whales in Glacier Bay (an area frequented by many of our small-ship Alaska cruises), they have lowered the speed limit for cruise ships to 10 knots. When you’re on your Alaskan cruise, you want to see the whales, not run them over. So this is a great measure to protect the whales.
