AMA Mekong River

AmaWaterways announced they will be introducing a new ship, the AmaDara, to the Mekong River in 2015!

This 124-passenger vessel will be joining her sister ship, the 124-passenger AmaLotus, and will be replacing the 94-passenger La Marguerite.

The AmaDara is scheduled to make her inaugural cruise on August 17, 2015, and will sail for a 16-day river cruise and land tour through Vietnam and Cambodia.

Featuring French colonial-style decor and accented by Mekong design elements within its air-conditioned staterooms and public spaces, the ships outdoor-facing suites and cabins range between 226-452 square feet. They also feature Ama’s signature twin balcony concept, which consists of a French balcony adjacent to a step-out balcony.

The ship will house two restaurants that will serve Western-style cuisine, as well as regionally inspired dishes.

Onboard entertainment includes live musical performances, folk dances, themed dinners and cultural discussions.

Other amenities include salon and spa services, a swimming pool and sun deck, a fitness center and a complimentary in-room infotainment system including Internet, movies, music and English-language TV programming.

Complimentary house spirits local beer, soft drinks and bottled water will be offered all day, and complimentary wine is available with lunch and dinner. Complimentary bottled water will also be provided daily in all cabins.
