People never cease to amaze me. Seriously! Who sees a natural wonder – in a protected State Park – and decides to knock it over? And to make matters worse, they are Boy Scout Leaders. Haven’t they ever heard the “Leave No Trace” motto?

We send a lot of clients on train trips and cruises that visit state and national parks. I would hope that none of them destroyed rock formations on purpose. If you have a guide with you, be sure to ask if there’s any rules about touching (seriously, treat it like a museum). Otherwise: don’t touch! Hands off! Look with your eyes, not with your hands. Use your camera. And whatever you do, please do not knock over rock formations that the elements have been creating for millions of years!
