My girlfriend, Cindy, and I recently had the opportunity to sail on the m/s Paul Gauguin on their signature cruise, “Tahiti and the Society Islands.” Let me tell you, you need to experience this for yourself! Everyone should visit these stunning locations, so grab your family and friends and make it happen! Tahiti, Moorea, and Bora Bora make an appearance on many people’s bucket lists. While you can experience these places in many ways, there’s only one m/s Paul Gauguin. The company, Paul Gauguin Cruise Lines, specializes in the South Pacific. It’s all they do, and they do it well.
If you’re new to small-ship cruising, the Paul Gauguin is an excellent place to get acquainted. For starters, every stateroom has an ocean view (no inside cabins), and the staterooms are comfortable and nicely appointed. In addition, many items you would pay extra for on a larger cruise line are included on the Paul Gauguin, such as sodas and a selection of beer, wine, and liquor. No surprises when you get the bill!
For water enthusiasts, the ship features its own marina, accessible at the back of Deck 4. Here you can rent snorkeling gear for the duration of your voyage (free!) and head out on kayaking and paddle board adventures. If you’re a S.C.U.B.A. diver, the ship has its own dive team on board and has a number of dive sites to choose from, both for experienced and beginning divers. If you’re interested, you can even become S.C.U.B.A. certified while on board! Here’s my photos from the marina deck:
The staff aboard the ship are wonderful, and will make you feel welcome from the moment you step on board. Not a single detail is missing; this is what a luxury cruise should be.
Now let’s talk about the destinations: Tahiti, Huahine, Taha’a (which includes a beach party at the cruise line’s private island, Motu Mohana), Bora Bora, and Moorea. The South Pacific – blue skies, stunning lagoons, palm trees, white-sand beaches, warm temperatures, and equally warm water. What else do you need?
Our cruise agents at USA River Cruises are ready to answer your questions about your voyage aboard the m/s Paul Gauguin – whether for yourself or a group of friends, family, co-workers, etc. You will love the entire Paul Gauguin experience, and create memories that you’ll cherish the rest of your life. Bon Voyage!
