“Once in a Lifetime…”

That is how you’ll describe this cruise to your friends and family when you get home! This 14-night cruise from Seattle to Juneau (or reverse) is a wondrous adventure up the Pacific coastline of British Columbia and Alaska. Experience the region as you never have before. You’ll cruise past old fishing villages, quaint port towns, and picturesque landscapes… that is, when your eyes aren’t on the ocean watching for a whale to breach!

Day 1: Embark in Seattle, WA

Depart from Fisherman’s Terminal, entering the waters of the Puget Sound.

Day 2: Anacortes, WA

This beautiful first stop on our journey offers many scenic and scrumptious tour options for you to choose from! Take a walking tour of the seaside town, decorated with murals of its history. Or head toward La Conner for a guided tour, plus a smoked salmon tasting at SeaBear, including smoked salmon chowder! Or take the jet boat tour of Deception Pass!

Day 3: Friday Harbor, WA

One last stop in the San Juan Islands before we continue North: Friday Harbor! This little island has wondrous views of mountains, valleys, and pebble-covered beaches AND is fantastic for whale watching! Friday Harbor has a beautiful Whale Museum to tour, which includes various ‘songs’ of different whale species and a family tree of local orcas. Or take a whale watching tour through the islands in search of local whales.

Day 4: Cruising Strait of Georgia

Relax as you cruise through the Salish Sea, north along the US/Canadian border.

Day 5: Cruising Queen Charlotte Strait

Continuing our journey North, cruise past the Broughton Archipelago. Keep your eyes open for wildlife and natural wonders on the islands and coastline.

Day 6: Cruising the Inside Passage

As we enter Alaska, crossing back into US waters, watch the forest-lined beaches for wildlife.

Day 7: Ketchikan, AK

One of Alaska’s southernmost cities, Ketchikan is the gateway to Misty Fjords National Monument, the ‘Yosemite of the North’. Raw power is on display in the fjords formed by glaciers and lava flows. Explore the town by Duck Tour, visiting the salmon ladder at Ketchikan Creek, Whale Park, local fishing canneries, the seaplane docks and more.

Day 8: Wrangell, AK

Take a jet boat tour up the Stikine River – beautiful surroundings that are home to deer, brown bears and bald eagles. Experience the flavors of Alaska, including fresh salmon, halibut, blueberries, huckleberries and salmonberries.

Day 9: Petersburg, AK

This fishing village has a strong Norwegian heritage. Take a walking tour of the town, learning about its rich heritage, the art and Rosemaling that decorate the town, and visit the Clausen Museum, home to artifacts and photographs of the region.

Day 10: Tracy Arm & South Sawyer Glacier, AK

1500 foot high cliffs – that’s the breathtaking views of Tracy Arm! An expert naturalist will join us onboard to point out sights along the way, including the waterfalls cascading down the fjord, the mile wide South Sawyer Glacier, and the seals hanging out on ice floes.

Day 11: Cruising Glacier Bay

3.3 million acres. How much of Glacier Bay can you explore in one day? Miles of coastline, filled abundantly with wildlife, including orcas, humpback whales, brown bears and bald eagles.

Day 12: Haines, AK

Over 260 bird species, including bald eagles, make their home in Chilkat Valley. We’ll be joined onboard by a local expert and guide to point out the differing species. To highlight your stay in Haines, you could choose to kayak on Chilkoot Lake, or head out fishing on a charter boat.

Day 13: Skagway, AK

It’s time to learn about the Klondike Gold Rush of 1897! The town has been restored with period performers, architecture, and old street cars. Welcome to the frontier!

Day 14: Juneau, AK

Enjoy this extra day in Juneau to explore Mendenhall Glacier, or ride a gondola tramway to the top of Mount Roberts. Or stay onboard the ship to watch for whales in the Gulf of Alaska.
