1Embark in Seattle, WA
Check-in at our hospitality center before boarding your ship to settle in. We'll depart from downtown Seattle and cruise the city's waterfront.

2Olympic National Park
Enjoy the quiet morning in Hood Canal, the 65 mile long fjord between the Kitsap and Olympic Peninsulas. Strap your boots on and get your daypacks packed, because we're hitting the trails in the Olympic Mountains - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tonight we'll dine on local oysters and clams paired with a local brew.

3San Juan Islands, WA
Begin your water adventures by taking out a kayak or paddle board into a quiet cove. If you're trying these sports for the first time, this is a great time to start! You'll have the rest of the cruise to practice. Or let someone else drive and take out the skiff - that way your hands are free to take beautiful pictures of the harbor seals and Cascade Mountains!

4Salish Sea / Canada's Inside Passage
We're getting further away from civilization today. It's just us and nature out here. Listen for your expedition team to point out interesting information about natural and native history.

5Canada's Inside Passage
Grab your morning cup of coffee and head up to the bow. See if you can spot the local bald eagles on trees as you pass between islands and the mainland. The captain will be busy navigating the twists and turns of Fitz Hugh Sound, first explored by Europeans in the 1720s. Take the time to get to know some shipmates. Get the daily drink from the bartender and play a few hands of cards with your new friends.

6Canada's Inside Passage
Want to get up a little earlier this morning? Join others on the sun deck for morning stretches. Your view will be the Boat Bluff Lighthouse at the head of Tolmie Channel. This area is great to watch for bears and sea otters. Today we'll cross back into US waters as we approach the Alaska coastline.

7Ketchikan, AK
Time to get off the boat and stretch your land legs in Ketchikan - the 'salmon capital of the world'! There's also a beautiful collection of standing totem poles, so we'll definitely want to connect with Tlingit leader Joe Williams, or Ka Xesh X'e in his native language. Joe's storytelling is mesmerizing, as he continues his people's rich oral tradition.

8Misty Fjords National Monument
Misty Fjords is the largest wilderness area in the Tongass National Forest. Watch for grizzly and black bears, as well as whales, mountain goats, salmon and deer. Practice your paddle board or kayaking skills again through a silty bay, or take a hike with a guide to find intertidal wonders on the beach.

9Ernest Sound
First chartered in 1793, Ernest Sound is a fantastically remote location to drop anchor! Put on your rubber boots for a hike into the deep forest with the expedition team. Or paddle around the islets of Deer Island. Or head out a little further in the skiff to a serene pocket of water, hidden in the jagged coastline.

10Petersburg / Frederick Sound
Petersburg is perfect for a hike. If you want a challenge, take the path up Petersburg Mountain. For a mellow walk, hike along Petersburg Creek. Don't forget to hit the town, as well! There's also a great museum showing off the region's Tlingit and Norwegian history. Frederick Sound is a favorite for humpback whales, so keep your eyes peeled!

11Chatham Strait/Chichagof Island
Chatham Strait was carved by glaciers, and the region is perfect for adventure! Paddle boarding, beach combing, and bear watching - Chichagof Island has one of the highest brown bear populations in the world.

12Glacier Bay National Park
Glacier Bay National Park is 3.3 million acres of stunning wilderness! In Bartlett Cove, the ship will pick up a park ranger to be our guide for the day. Learn the history of glaciers, how they retreat and advance. South Marble Island is for the birds - like the pigeon guillemots, puffins and cormorants. We'll head all the way into the bay to the Grand Pacific and Margerie Glaciers.

13Icy Strait
The channels are an underwater jungle of bull whip kelp, with beautiful orange and purple starfish - you'll think you're in the tropics til the touch of the icy water reminds you it's still Alaska! Sea lions find comfy rocks, and the occasional bear wanders along the shore in search of an afternoon snack.

14Haines, AK
In Haines, you can choose history or adventure. This spot has been occupied for thousands of years; history of the Chilkat Tlingit, European explorers, and the Gold Rush built this town. Now Haines is a central location for adventure, including hiking, biking and rafting. Tonight, join the captain for a farewell dinner, and enjoy the slideshow of our trip that the expedition team has put together.
