How far in advance should I book an international cruise?
It depends on the destination. European river cruises and Caribbean sailings typically open a year or more in advance, and popular themed departures such as Christmas Markets and Galápagos expeditions sell out earliest. Polar voyages to Antarctica and the Arctic operate on fixed seasonal windows and carry very limited passenger capacity, so those are worth planning 12 to 18 months out.
